Job Summary:

Mistick Construction is seeking a skilled carpentry specialist with a minimum of 5 years of framing and trim carpentry experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and prepare materials for construction projects.
  • Build items such as shelves, doors, windows, counters, and other carpentry projects to the correct scale and dimensions.
  • Work from sketches and drawings, as well as verbal and written descriptions, to complete projects to the right specifications.
  • Make adjustments to projects, installing windows and doors, and following blueprints.
  • Dismantle and demolish designated items before carrying out repairs or inputting new materials.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of framing and trim carpentry experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand schedules.
  • Precision to take accurate measurements and make precise cuts.
  • Great hand-eye coordination to avoid injuries and damage to materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • An assertive, detail-oriented, self-starter preferred.
  • May include evening and weekend hours, depending on the project.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Carpenter Apprenticeship or Associate's Degree is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge and competency with carpentry methods, tools, and procedures.
