Job Summary

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Field Engineer to join its Structures Division. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong company/client relationship and coordinating project activities throughout the construction period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Control and Analysis: Maintain up-to-date project progress information and cost of labor and material data for project control and analysis.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Assist the project team in creating and maintaining weekly/monthly overall schedules, and coordinate and schedule deliveries, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with assigned foremen and superintendents to build projects in a controlled manner, manage and coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure project safety requirements are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain daily diaries of work activities, including manpower, equipment, materials deliveries, and process additional work authorizations for change order submissions.
  • Change Order Management: Coordinate and process change orders or technical problems with client requirements, suppliers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Project Cost Management: Review project cost reports each week with the project team and assist in preparing project AIA billing requisitions.
  • Project Security and Safety: Oversee project security and safety, and assist in ensuring the safety of the workforce, site, and motoring public.
  • Subcontractor Management: Meet with subcontractors and suppliers for project coordination, and maintain a log for all submittals and shop drawings.
  • Project Objectives: Meet or exceed project objectives as determined in the pre-job planning process.
