We are seeking an experienced VDI Engineer to support our IC customer/contract in the Springfield, VA area. This position will be responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
- Offer guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
- Maintain an advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
- Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later.
- Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
- Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
- Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX.
- Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
- Citrix App Layering.
- Liquidware Profile Unity.
- Hyper V, VMWare, VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs).
- Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering.
- Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7.
- Active Directory/ Group Policies.
- Home Directory and Profile management Support Services.
- Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
- 5+ years IT experience.
