In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring that cleanliness and sanitation protocols are adhered to across our greenhouse facility. Your efforts will be crucial in maintaining the hygiene of all areas, including equipment, surfaces, and production zones, in compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement sanitation protocols to effectively clean and disinfect equipment, surfaces, and production areas
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations (SQF/HACCP)
  • Properly handle and store cleaning agents
  • Oversee and maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify sanitation concerns and communicate them to the relevant personnel
  • Follow safety procedures and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary
  • Assist with additional tasks as required
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role is preferred
  • Familiarity with sanitation methods and food safety standards
  • Ability to follow directives and work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to cleanliness
  • Physical endurance to perform tasks involving standing, bending, and lifting
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Basic understanding of safe usage of cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Availability to work afternoon or evening shifts
