About the Role:

As a key member of our transportation team at Exela Technologies, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to their destinations. Your professionalism and courtesy will be essential in representing our company, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Operate Company Vehicles: Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Securely load and unload goods onto and from the vehicle, preventing damage during transportation.
  • Plan and Optimize Delivery Routes: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, considering factors such as traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times, and report any discrepancies or issues to the transportation supervisor.
  • Perform Routine Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional communication and assistance with unloading goods as needed.
  • Follow Company Policies: Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Handle Unexpected Delays: Handle any unexpected delays, changes, or issues that may arise during transportation, such as traffic accidents or adverse weather conditions, and communicate effectively with the transportation team and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • DOT Physical: Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
  • Driving Experience: Must have a minimum of one year verifiable driving experience in similar sized vehicles within the last 3 years with a safe driving record.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The pay rate for this position starts at $20.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
