Senior Business Technology Solutions Analyst - Operations

Walker Elliott is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Technology Solutions Analyst to join our IT Enterprise Applications team. This role will play a crucial part in driving operational efficiency through innovative technology solutions within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze business processes and assess how technology can optimize them.
  • Lead software projects from application upgrades to complex multi-disciplinary initiatives, working with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Provide technical support and training on new systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Data Science team and business leaders to align project roadmaps with departmental objectives.
  • Utilize technical expertise to develop process improvements using tools like Alteryx, Sigma, Power BI, and Spotfire.

Key Software and Functional Areas:

  • Enverus Suite (OpenInvoice, OpenOrder)
  • Content Management Systems (M-Files, Documentum)
  • G&G Software (Petra, Kingdom)
  • Work Management (Jira Software, Smartsheet)
  • Material Management and Equipment (OpenMaterials, Maximo, MARSWorx)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of oil and gas industry experience (Upstream E&P preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and the ability to develop complex queries, data visualizations, and automated solutions.
  • Experience leading enterprise software projects, including project management and change management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (Alteryx, UiPath) and BI tools (Power BI, Spotfire).
  • Experience with cloud migration assessments and working in Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).

Work Schedule:

  • Hybrid work schedule with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Occasional travel or weekend work may be required to meet business priorities.
