Optometrist - Eye Care Specialist

MACT Health Board, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team. As a Staff Optometrist, you will provide eye care services to patients at our clinics in accordance with accepted standards of medical and optometric practice.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with eye-related disorders and conditions.
Conduct routine eye examinations, including field tests, and determine each patient's visual acuity, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination.
Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose conditions.
Administer or prescribe treatment and medication to patients, and promote health by advising patients concerning eye health and medical conditions that affect eye health.
Refer patients to board-certified ophthalmologists when required for more holistic eye care.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including Problem Oriented Medical Records (POMR) and superbills.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of optometry.
Possession of a current California license to practice optometry.
Current DEA narcotic license.
Current CPR or Advanced Life Support certificate.
Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of 1 year accredited residency program.
Work Environment:
The Optometrist will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, providing eye care services to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. The Optometrist will be required to maintain accurate and detailed medical records, and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to patient care and confidentiality.
