Senior Intellectual Property Attorney

About the Role:

• Analyze technology transactions and negotiate terms to ensure the protection of our intellectual property interests.
• Implement deep knowledge of applicable IP law, including evolving and complex fields of technology law.
• Support Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions by conducting IP legal/contract reviews.
• Conduct litigation and opposition proceedings in applicable geographies and collaborate with outside counsel to defend and/or enforce trademark rights.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and current licensure to practice law in at least one US state with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Required Experience: 8+ years of experience in the practice of IP law and IP processes, preferably with a mix of law firm and corporate (USPTO time considered), covering a variety of specialties, including patent drafting & prosecution, managing a patent portfolio, developing an IP strategy, drafting and negotiating complex IP agreements and terms, performing opinion work such as freedom to operate / risk assessments, and providing IP counseling generally.
