We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks on production equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines, including bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
- Troubleshooting: Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problems and implement effective solutions.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by lubricating and cleaning machinery and support equipment.
- Work Orders and Efficiency: Complete all work orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, decrease scrap, improve quality production, and enhance plant efficiency.
- Safety Protocols: Follow all safety rules and procedures, including the Lockout/Tagout program, to ensure a safe work environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Skills: Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc. Ability to use precision measuring devices, including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges.
- Critical Thinking: Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions.
- Professionalism: Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.
