Practice Manager III Leadership Role

This leadership position oversees the operation of physician practices, typically consisting of 4-7 providers and up to 20 full-time equivalents (FTEs). The role involves managing subordinate personnel, preparing clinic budgets, ensuring data accuracy, analyzing financial performance, addressing customer service concerns, and maintaining provider/staff communications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for administrative areas.
* Collaborates with regional directors and corporate marketing teams to drive practice development.
* Selects, trains, orients, and supervises clinic staff in accordance with established policies and procedures. Manages daily operations and personnel for multiple practices, including training relief employees.
* Evaluates performances, recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions in a timely manner. Interviews and recommends hiring and termination of staff in accordance with approved policies.
* Resolves administrative issues, ensures compliance with regulations, and maintains accurate records.
* Works closely with fiscal management and other administrative staff to implement cost-effective policies and procedures for operational areas, including bookkeeping, billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, data processing, and space planning.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree is preferred, but six years of practice management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A master's degree in healthcare or business administration is highly recommended, along with four or more years of clinic management experience. Additionally, four years of diversified experience within a medical practice, with at least one year in a supervisory position, is desired.
This role requires strong communication and prioritization skills, as well as competence in financial reimbursement, billing, collections, CPT, ICD9, HCPCS coding, medical group operations, and managed care concepts. Computer literacy and organizational skills are essential. A Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) certification is highly preferred.
