We are seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Room Technician to contribute to our objectives.
Position Summary and Requirements

As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, playing a crucial role in delivering safe and effective patient care in the operating room. Your responsibilities will include: direct patient interaction, assisting the surgical team during procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and sanitized between surgeries, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit the practical and specialized skills necessary for the surgical technician role as outlined by the Association of Surgical Technologists.
  • Prepare the surgical environment by organizing and verifying the availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques in handling surgical instruments and materials.
  • Facilitate the cleaning and turnover of the operating room between procedures, including waste disposal and equipment sanitation.
  • Prepare the surgical suite for upcoming procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment is in place and operational.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program as mandated by facility standards and state regulations.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technician.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a surgical environment, preferably within an ambulatory surgery center.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire (online certifications are not acceptable).
