Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Multi-Line Claims Adjuster to effectively manage and resolve multi-line insurance claims. The successful candidate will be tasked with investigating, assessing, and settling claims promptly while ensuring high-quality service to policyholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive field investigations by visiting claim locations to evaluate damages and ascertain the cause of loss.
- Engage with claimants, witnesses, and other relevant individuals to collect essential information for thorough claim assessments.
- Draft detailed and precise reports that outline findings and recommendations for claim resolutions.
- Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to establish fair settlements.
- Negotiate and finalize claims with claimants, legal representatives, and other involved parties.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by maintaining clear communication with policyholders and keeping them updated throughout the claims process.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate claims processing.
- Stay informed about industry developments, best practices, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-line adjusting or a comparable role.
- Possession of a valid adjuster's license in the state of New York.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in claims management software and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various claim sites as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and lifting heavy items when required.
- Comfortable working in diverse environmental conditions, including adverse weather.
