Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the University of Illinois Chicago. As a key member of our Diagnostic Services Radiology department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including mobile units, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and transferring patients on/off the radiographic table.
  • Assist with patient and procedure room preparation, including setting up equipment and performing safety checks.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures, and navigate and maintain patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements
  • Current/valid registration and certification in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current/valid accreditation as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Illinois (IEMA).
  • Based on institutional requirements, a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification by an approved certifying board as defined by the employing institution.
