Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated portions of the body. You will work closely with radiologists to perform mini-special procedures in fluoroscopic suites and assist with radiographic procedures on Level I Trauma patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body
  • Assist radiologists in performing mini-special procedures in fluoroscopic suites
  • Perform radiographic procedures on Level I Trauma patients
  • Maneuver portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery as required
  • Operate all components of the Digital Imaging System
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Certificate with 10 years of experience or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic understanding of R.I.S. and basic computer knowledge
  • IEMA accreditation in medical radiation technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) eligible with registration performed within 3 months of start date
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays in order to accommodate staffing needs
  • Ability to work rotating shift any day of the week
  • Ability to take call and arrive on site within one hour
  • May be exposed to radiation during procedures
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, or be required to lift and move patients
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials, infectious disease and required to participate in annual emergency drills
