Job Title: Diesel Technician

At R E Garrison Trucking Inc, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing engine repairs, troubleshooting engine codes, and ensuring the overall reliability of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engine repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot engine codes and diagnose issues to determine root cause
  • Remove and install transmission, clutches, rear ends, and engines as needed
  • Change oil, rotate and change tires, and test systems and components
  • Repair or replace worn parts to prevent breakdown or damage
  • Drive vehicles for testing purposes and annotate repairs
  • Complete and maintain legible work orders and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including determining trailer condition and making essential repairs

Qualifications and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree in Diesel Mechanics preferred
  • Previous diesel mechanic/service technician experience preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a good attitude and work ethic
