Job Summary

Madden's On Gull is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of our linens and uniforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laundry Operations: Assist the laundry van driver with the distribution and removal of clean and dirty linens, mix and add detergents, dyes, bleach, starch, and other solutions and chemicals to clean, color, dry, or stiffen articles.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Load articles into washing machines, dryers, or pressing machines, start washer, dryer, or extractor, and turn valves to regulate and monitor cleaning and drying operations.
  • Quality Control: Examine and sort articles to be cleaned into lots, according to color, fabric, dirt content, and cleaning technique, pre-soak, sterilize, scrub, spot-clean, and dry contaminated or stained articles using neutralizer solutions and portable machines.
  • Storage and Organization: Maintain storage areas, keep linen carts clean and tidy, and incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
