Laundry Attendant

Madden's On Gull is seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of our linens and uniforms.

• Assist the laundry van driver with the distribution and removal of clean and dirty linens.
• Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleach, starch, and other solutions and chemicals to clean, color, dry, or stiffen articles.
• Load articles into washing machines, dryers, or pressing machines.
• Start washers, dryers, or extractors and turn valves to regulate and monitor cleaning and drying operations.
• Clean machine filters, lubricate equipment, and perform daily maintenance checks.
• Iron or press sheets, napkins, and all other linens by ironing or pressing machine.
• Sort and count articles removed from dryers and fold, wrap, or hang items for airing out, pickup, and/or delivery.
• Examine and sort articles to be cleaned into lots, according to color, fabric, dirt content, and cleaning technique.
• Pre-soak, sterilize, scrub, spot-clean, and dry contaminated or stained articles using neutralizer solutions and portable machines.
• Remove items from washing machines, dryers, and/or pressing machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain storage areas and keep linen carts clean and tidy.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
