As a Vascular Ultrasound Technician, you will conduct ultrasound assessments of patients' lower limbs and other necessary evaluations while ensuring a seamless workflow and prioritizing patient care. Your role is crucial in providing an outstanding service experience for every patient.
This position offers flexibility to work across various clinic locations within the Bronx and Upper Manhattan. Availability is required between 7am - 8pm, including weekends as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute ultrasound examinations to generate a Venous Flow Map, aiding in the formulation of a safe and effective treatment strategy.
- Support the Physician in clarifying the treatment plan to patients, addressing their specific healthcare needs.
- Prepare and sanitize procedure rooms, examination areas, and ultrasound facilities before and after each patient encounter.
- Conduct additional ultrasound evaluations as dictated by the Physician's treatment plan to ensure patient safety and treatment efficacy.
- Adhere to designated timeframes for each ultrasound procedure to maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day.
- Collaborate with office and administrative staff, as well as Physicians, to review the ultrasound schedule, ensuring optimal technician availability for timely patient care.
- Continuously enhance the quality of work and skills in alignment with the company's care standards through ongoing education and collaboration with fellow Ultrasound Technologists.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and manage supply inventory to support effective operational processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Compensation range: $38-$47 per hour.
- Completion certificate from an accredited Ultrasound program, Mandatory
- Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment, Mandatory
- Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in multitasking, effective prioritization, and teamwork.
