About the Role

At Carriage Services, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences through innovation, partnership, and service excellence. As a Family Service Counselor, you'll be part of a dynamic team that sets new standards in the funeral and cemetery industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with client families to ensure their needs are met.
  • Represent the company in a professional and caring manner, providing tours and guiding families through our cemetery locations.
  • Attend services and visitations to develop relationships, ensure excellent service, and identify potential referrals.
  • Complete required paperwork, ensure proper interment verification, and conduct blind checks to maintain compliance with state and industry regulations.
  • Develop new prospects and community-based contacts, making presentations at our business location, client family homes, and public events.
  • Maintain positive communication and cooperation with funeral homes, departments, and team members to ensure a smooth service process.
  • Participate in training initiatives and report progress to the Sales Manager.
  • Schedule and conduct aftercare appointments to ensure client family satisfaction and obtain referrals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or college degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in inside sales and outside sales production strongly preferred.
  • May require an insurance license as required by applicable law.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
  • Bilingual speaking preferred.
