Job Title: Cook

Thomas Cuisine is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Good Samaritan in Corvallis, Oregon.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cook to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, and visitors. As a Cook, you will follow standard recipes and procedures while complying with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare orders for patients, staff, visitors, and catering using standardized recipes and service and/or plating guidelines.
  • Take note of variances in recipes and plating guidelines and communicate issues to the Executive Chef.
  • Assist customers with orders by answering menu and recipe-related questions.
  • Build rapport with guests.
  • Follow regulations and established standards applicable to personal hygiene and food preparation, handling, and disposal.
Requirements:
  • One year of directly related work experience in the fast-food, restaurant, hospitality, or other culinary environment, preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP food handling standards and guidelines, and industry standards relating to personal hygiene in a culinary environment.
  • Knowledge of the basic activities/techniques employed in the preparation of short-order foods.
  • ServSafe Certification a plus.
  • Must have a OR state food handler's permit.
