Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and skill in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Display proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
  • Display working knowledge of all facilities computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
  • At least 2 years of hotel facilities/maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
  • Supervisory experience is not required.
