Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee key operational areas including Front Office, Dining Services, Concierge, Housekeeping, Fitness Facilities, Laundry, Valet Services, Retail, and Event Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Front Office operations, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, and provide support for staff as necessary.
  • Monitor service quality across the hotel, addressing any issues that arise to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers to swiftly resolve guest concerns and operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with managers to discuss staffing, potential challenges, and operational needs.
  • In the absence of department leadership, make informed decisions regarding hotel operations.
  • Address all safety and security issues, adhering to reporting protocols and following up as required.
  • Regularly inspect various areas of the property to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel, ensuring all areas are tidy and free of debris.
  • Provide assistance in guest services, including Concierge, Laundry, and Dining as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations and address any concerns proactively.
  • Maintain sanitation standards in all areas, particularly in food service and public spaces.
  • Coordinate with managers to ensure proper closing procedures are followed in all service areas.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of daily operational schedules to make informed management decisions.
  • Assist with maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Manage cash handling and ensure compliance with financial protocols.
  • Support other properties within the organization as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by upper management.
  • Prepare a detailed report at the end of each shift outlining key activities and observations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and budget management.
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions, especially in challenging situations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality management principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Skilled in evaluating employee performance fairly.
  • Experience in supervising and motivating staff at various levels.
  • Adept at analyzing complex information to improve practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in hospitality or a related field preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems is advantageous.
