We are currently seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a 13-week contract in Washington, D.C.

Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. This includes providing respiratory care to patients per physician orders and established policies and procedures, participating in the development and/or implementation of patient care plans, and maintaining and promoting good customer relations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • Respiratory Therapist Credential: Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and CPR certification are required.
  • Experience: Eighteen months of respiratory care experience, preferably in a critical care setting, is preferred.
Benefits
  • Salary: Competitive salary, estimated to be $145,000 - $170,000 per year, based on a 36-hour week.
