About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Banking Professional to join our team as an AVP Bank Manager. As a key member of our retail banking team, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively managing a full-service retail banking office, ensuring that all established policies and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage employees, organize and direct activities, maximize branch profitability, provide high level of quality customer service and has overall daily operational responsibility for the performance of the office location.
  • Participate in the selection, training and development of assigned staff; complete and conduct performance reviews; act as final authority for basic issue resolution at office level.
  • Oversee organization of branch sales, operations and service processes and procedures to maximize customer service and staff productivity and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure staff compliance with regulations, requirements and procedures; ensure staff follows operational and security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain profitable, multi-product relationships with individuals, small businesses and other organizations within their respective community.
  • Call on prospective and existing customers to develop professional relationships for the purpose of developing new business relationships.
  • Initiate and/or collect customer loan applications; interview loan applicants; forward loan applications and appropriate supporting documentation for review.
  • Work with Community Banker to establish, achieve and/or exceed branch performance and personal production goals; ensure that staff members meet or exceed established sales and CRA goals.
  • Manage cost effectiveness of the branch; maximize profitability.
  • Support the organization's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) goals through business development efforts; educate branch staff in CRA requirements including documentation.
  • Review, audit, modify and/or prepare a variety of operational and financial reports and general correspondence within required timeframes.
  • Participate in establishing and overseeing staff training and development plans; coach employees daily/weekly as necessary.
  • Receive and resolve routine customer issues and inquiries. Involve Community Banker when necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent of working experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in a retail banking environment.
  • 2+ years of management experience, or 3+ years in a Team Leader or Assistant Manager position.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulatory compliance and personnel policies in the fulfillment of the specific duties of the position, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), confidentiality, information security, and ethical standards. Complete all online compliance and regulatory courses.
  • Knowledge of key banking operations and security policies, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of effective customer service methods and practices.
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed established sales, operational and CRA goals.
  • Ability to manage and lead others to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to provide solutions to a wide variety of practical and customer service challenges and problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong sales skills in a retail environment.
