About the Role
  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
  • Implement modern software development methodologies, including DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques, including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design.
  • Apply software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects with command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining software for satellite ground systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software development aligns with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain software development processes and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Over 4 years of experience developing object-oriented software using Java using Agile methods.
Clearance Requirements
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Satellite ground system software experience in areas such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, and flight dynamics models.
  • C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Microservices in an AWS environment, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
