Job Summary and QualificationsThe Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse RN PRN will be responsible for providing maternal assessments and interventions for patients who range in age from menses to menopause. You will also use appropriate interventions for OB pain management and perform/monitor OB anesthesia/analgesia.
- As an L&D Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate support of Lactation Services and perform Labor and Delivery surgical procedures.
- You will communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team utilizing verbal and written skills.
- You must respond to acute changes in unit and patient conditions.
- Ensuring medications are administered according to hospital policy is a key responsibility.
- Your role will demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and commitment to nursing care in labor and delivery.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least two years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
