Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician I to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families, including assisting with activities of daily living, providing emotional support, and promoting patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Assist with patient transportation, including escorting patients to and from appointments and procedures.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as processing patient information, preparing medical records, and communicating with healthcare providers.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote patient-centered care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (preferred)
