About the Role

The US Army 5th Medical Recruiting Battalion is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a member of our health care team, you will play a vital role in providing behavioral health nursing care to active duty, family members, retirees, and other eligible beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit comprehensive health histories and perform complete physical examinations
  • Order and/or perform psychotherapy, command consultations, medication management, and conduct data analysis
  • Formulate problem lists, develop and implement plans of care, and collaborate with other health professionals
  • Refer patients to other professionals as appropriate
Work Environment

You will have the opportunity to work in various clinical areas, including inpatient psychiatric units, alcohol/drug rehabilitation programs, day treatment programs, mental health clinics, and combat stress units.

Requirements
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Other advanced life support certifications are encouraged
  • Master's degree as a psychiatric nurse practitioner from an accredited program
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner
