Position Overview
Ness Digital Engineering is seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Performance Engineering Lead. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our applications through comprehensive performance testing and optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the technical design, development, and execution of scripts that uphold Performance Engineering standards, focusing on solutions that enhance performance.
- Maintain quality assurance during application performance testing, pinpointing strengths and areas for improvement.
- Oversee timely project delivery, managing both external and internal dependencies while ensuring all activities are meticulously documented and reported.
- Establish and monitor application and transaction Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee optimal performance in production environments.
- Analyze, design, and develop performance specifications and scripts tailored to specific workflows.
- Exhibit exceptional leadership and communication skills in conveying performance test results to both IT and business stakeholders.
- Comprehend system environments, including shared resources, components, services, CPU, memory, storage, and network configurations.
- Develop Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) frameworks and processes to facilitate the execution of performance testing scripts.
- Support the performance engineering strategy by integrating DevOps requirements across enterprise applications into the CI/CD platform.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, collaborating closely with stakeholders to align on deliverables and commitments for each release.
- Actively contribute to resolving critical infrastructure challenges and propose effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 years of extensive hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in LoadRunner, VuGen, and LoadRunner Developer platforms.
- Proficient in LoadRunner Cloud and LoadRunner Enterprise platforms.
- In-depth understanding of various performance testing methodologies, including Load, Stress, and Resiliency testing.
- Experience with Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as Splunk SoC, Grafana, and Aternity.
- Solid knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and web/UI JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, NodeJS, ReactJS), as well as REST, JSON, and XML.
- Capability to formulate application performance test plans based on project specifications.
- Ability to analyze performance test outcomes and identify areas for enhancement.
- Experience in defining Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) and strategies to meet those requirements.
- Proficient in creating monitoring dashboards using Grafana.
- Experience collaborating with diverse, cross-functional global teams.
- A self-motivated, results-driven individual who excels in teamwork.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
