Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a CT Technologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination by positioning them on the exam table and ensuring they are comfortable and secure.
  • Operate CT/MRI equipment to administer the proper procedure in a timely fashion, ensuring that the required images are obtained as ordered by the Radiologist.
  • Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order, verifying that there are no contraindications to administration of the IV contrast agent.
  • Perform venipuncture of the appropriate gauge necessary for examination, and utilize power injector to administer IV contrast.
  • Recognize and assist in the treatment of contrast agent reactions, and ensure that patients are properly monitored during the examination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) required for positions filled after September 5, 2010.
  • Certification in IV Contrast Administration required within six (6) months of entry date into position.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist, required. Previous CT or MRI experience, preferred.
