Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and hold ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, as well as state-specific licensing when required.

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining imaging procedures to patients
  • Screening patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpreting doctors' written instructions
  • Positioning patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assisting radiologists with procedure performance
  • Starting I.V.s, administering contrast media as directed, and per protocol
  • Evaluating MRI scans for technical quality, collating processed images, and labeling appropriately
  • Loading and operating power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Following safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Understanding and using the McKesson PACS system

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
  • State-specific licensing when required
