Interventional Radiology Technologist

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team.
The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 per year.
Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist will perform therapeutic and interventional procedures, including angiographic procedures, while providing quality patient care and monitoring during all phases of the procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers contrast media into the coronary arteries as directed by a cardiologist during a cardiac catheterization procedure.
- Aids in the manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters under the supervision of a Cardiac Interventional Tech II.
- Provides patient education and prepares patients for procedures, including explaining risks and benefits.
- Maintains accurate patient records and department check sheets.
- Participates in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Clinical experience in diagnostic radiology with a commitment to complete 6-month MedStar intensive interventional training.
- ARRT certification/registration.
- Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
- ACLS certification or eligibility.
