Job Title: Advanced Interventional Radiology Technologist
Join the team at the University of Maryland Medical Center as an Advanced Interventional Radiology Technologist. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to work in our Intraventional Radiology department.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced technologist to join our team, performing advanced imaging procedures and supporting interventional radiologists with patient care. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in interventional radiology or a related field, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and radiation safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced imaging procedures such as adrenal angiography, catheter/drain exchange, cholecystostomy, cystoscopy, embolization, gastrostomy, internal/external biliary drainage, nephrostomy, percutaneous stone extraction, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, renal angio, renal artery stent placement, uteral stent placement, TIPS, angioplast, and central venous port placement.
- Support interventional radiologists with patient care, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to radiation safety protocols and equipment maintenance guidelines.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
- ARRT certification and BLS/State License.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and radiation safety protocols.
- Ability to work rotating 8 or 10-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
