Shift: 1st (6:30AM - 4:45PM) - 1.5x overtime after 40 hrs/week
Salary Range: $60k - $75k

Position Overview: This role focuses on overseeing and enhancing the quality of supplier components (IC Engine) and systems to foster ongoing improvements within an OEM automotive setting. A foundational understanding of combustion engines is advantageous. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate will collaborate closely with suppliers located in both the US and Mexico. Mastery of methodologies such as 8Ds, 5Whys, Supplier Quality Audits, and the management of Corrective Action Reports is essential. Recent graduates with an Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical & Industrial) are encouraged to apply. Some travel, both international and domestic, will be necessary. Candidates should anticipate working a minimum of one Saturday per month, with increased overtime expected in the latter half of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address Supplier Quality challenges related to internal combustion engine (ICE) components.
- Execute quality initiatives for designated suppliers.
- Conduct planned activities for part approval and enhancement efficiently.
- Continuously monitor vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality components to production lines.
- Analyze and interpret statistical data and reports to assess current production efficiency and quality.
- Develop testing and inspection protocols for assigned suppliers and components.
- Report defective components to suppliers and advocate for improvements.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and various internal departments.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on quality-related issues.
- Communicate effectively across various organizational levels.
- Engage effectively with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Administer, coordinate, and adhere to all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
- Fulfill all other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is required.
Experience:
- 0 – 10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience in automotive quality is desirable.
- Supplier Quality Control experience with Casted/Forged/Pressed Products is preferred.
Skills / Knowledge:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SAP is desired.
- Basic understanding of gasoline engine theory and operation.
- Spanish language skills are preferred.
