Inventory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Specialist to join our team at Walgreens. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of our inventory, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.

1. Execute and maintain front-end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
2. Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, which have an impact on the accuracy of front-end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
3. Support pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
4. Champion On-Shelf Availability and ensure the accuracy of planograms.
5. Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
6. Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
7. Responsible for the execution and maintenance of inventory records, including receiving and posting of all products received at the store in all inventory systems.
8. Support the maintenance of inventory compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
9. Assist in the preparation for physical inventory and support the physical inventory day activities.

To be successful as an Inventory Specialist, you will need to have:

• One year of prior retail work experience with knowledge.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Prefer previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate. Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
