Inventory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Specialist to join our team at Walgreens. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of our inventory, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
Key Responsibilities- Execute and maintain front-end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, which have an impact on the accuracy of front-end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Support pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
- Champion On-Shelf Availability and ensure the accuracy of planograms.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Responsible for the execution and maintenance of inventory records, including receiving and posting of all products received at the store in all inventory systems.
- Support the maintenance of inventory compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Assist in the preparation for physical inventory and support the physical inventory day activities.
To be successful as an Inventory Specialist, you will need to have:
- One year of prior retail work experience with knowledge.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution.
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Prefer previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate. Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
