Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and assign work to meet customer needs and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with Penske's safety and quality standards
- Monitor and control repair and labor costs to ensure efficient use of resources
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle availability
- Provide coaching and guidance to maintenance technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of maintenance technicians
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or technical degree preferred

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods. The associate must be able to use their hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or operate required tools or controls. The associate must also be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms. Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment. The associate must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
