Position: SIC Millwright
Overview: We are seeking skilled Millwrights to join our team for an upcoming project. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in machinery maintenance and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams to establish work procedures.
- Dismantle machinery using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and crowbars.
- Transport machinery and equipment utilizing hoists, dollies, and trucks.
- Assemble and install various equipment, including shafting and conveyors, employing both hand and power tools.
- Construct machine foundations using hand tools and construction materials like wood and steel.
- Align machines and equipment with precision using jacks, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
- Assemble machinery and secure it to foundations or structures using various fastening methods.
- Conduct repairs and perform lubrication on machinery and equipment.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for project requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Completion of all safety and job training as mandated by the company.
- Consistently observe safety and quality processes.
Physical and Job Site Requirements:
- Ability to utilize personal protective equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
- Work conditions may include exposure to dirt, dust, grease, and varying weather conditions.
- Must safely access all areas of job sites, including elevated positions and confined spaces.
- Physical stamina is required to perform essential functions of the role.
- Capability to operate all necessary tools and equipment safely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various physical positions.
