Medical Assistant OBGYN Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our OBGYN department. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic clerical and office duties, including assembling documents and supplies, and effectively using computer applications.
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor appointments, inpatient and outpatient admissions, tests, treatments, and procedures.
- Maintain medical records and other inventory of supplies, and order and restock as needed.
- Accurately document patient history, physical, and vital information into the medical record.
- Perform business and financial duties, including assigning procedural and diagnostic coding to encounter forms, and conducting pre-authorizations and referrals.
- Facilitate timely billing by completing necessary clinical functions within acceptable standards of care.
Requirements:
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or current RN/LPN license.
- Preferred Qualifications: National MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA.
