Job Title: Senior Cyber Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Systems Security Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions to protect our nation's technology advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of cybersecurity requirements, design, and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
  • Conduct ACAS and STIG scans, create patch documentation for customers, and define security development and test efforts.
  • Implement security controls for networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components.
  • Support the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations.
  • Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results, and conduct cybersecurity audits to ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of the security posture.
  • Conduct technical and non-technical trade studies, and understand and comply with DoD technology release and export licensing policies.
  • Perform Task Lead duties, including task planning and product ownership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret/SCI with Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, including System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies, and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience in systems security, including computer hardware and software operating system and application solutions in both stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations, and/or security features and/or vulnerability analysis of operating systems.
  • Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140, such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Linux Bash scripting, Python scripting, and Perl scripting experience.
  • PowerShell and Ansible Playbooks experience.
  • Knowledge of information security toolsets, including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools.
  • Knowledge of Platform One DevSecOps environment.
  • Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS) / Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) / Tenable Security Center, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
  • Experience in the field of Systems Engineering, including System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies.
  • Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies.
  • Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls, and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, management, and customers in a team environment.
  • Critical Technology or Critical Program Information (CPI) identification or analysis.
  • Familiar with NIST RMF, as described in NIST Special Publication.
