Job Summary

The William Penn School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer/Board Secretary to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong financial background, excellent management skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all business operations, including accounting, budget preparation, and audit functions.
  • Supervise department heads and monitor each department to ensure effective operations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement process for the Business Office to ensure deadlines are met, budgets are monitored, and Board operations are supported.
  • Collaborate with the District's Operations team to prepare Capital Project budgets and facilitate the budgetary process for all District-involved grant projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of public-school business administration experience.
  • MBA/CPA highly preferred, along with an understanding of federal/state/local budgeting practices.
Working Conditions

The Chief Financial Officer/Board Secretary will work in an indoor office environment, subject to frequent interruptions. The position requires sitting and standing for extended periods, as well as occasional bending, reaching, and stretching.

Compensation

The minimum salary for this position is $155,000.
