Position Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for executing routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures as directed by physicians. This role includes:
- Conducting diagnostic imaging procedures with technical proficiency.
- Ensuring quality control and maintenance of imaging equipment.
- Documenting patient histories and maintaining accurate records for clinical use.
- Administering radiopharmaceuticals safely and effectively.
- Adhering to established radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
- Providing education and training to new staff and student technologists.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed an accredited educational program in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Additionally, candidates should possess:
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- State licensure as required by local regulations.
