As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for interpreting technical documents, schematics, and plans to effectively assemble and wire various generator set and mechanical components. Your role will involve building, assembling, and mounting mechanical parts as specified or instructed. You will also be tasked with connecting all electrical wiring components, assembling engines, and installing necessary hardware. Additionally, you will wire all electrical components, both AC and DC, which includes installing and bending conduit as well as placing wires within conduits. Plumbing duties for fuel and oil systems will also be part of your responsibilities, including fabricating fuel pipes using a pipe threader.
Essential Qualifications- Proficient in using measurement tools
- Experienced with hand tools and power tools
- Strong reading and writing skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work from blueprints
- Capable of lifting heavy equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
This role is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a total duration of 720 hours.
Work EnvironmentThis position is fully on-site. The workspace is well-lit, and you can expect to be standing or sitting at your station for most of the day. Occasional outdoor work may be required in various weather conditions.
