About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Native Application Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Professional Services organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-native applications on the AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core developer services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS.
  • Leverage new technology paradigms such as serverless, containers, and microservices.
  • Migrate monolithic applications to microservices architectures.
  • Advise on implementing AWS best practices.
  • Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise.
  • Represent the voice for developers internally and influence our AWS Professional Services offerings and AWS product strategy for developers by working with AWS platform engineering, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Swift, Python, Go, or Ruby.
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience.
  • Cloud development experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
