About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Native Application Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will work closely with customers to design and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform.

Your primary responsibility will be to architect and develop applications that take advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation, and high availability features of the AWS cloud. You will work with customers to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop cloud-native applications on the AWS platform
  • Work with customers to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
  • Design and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications using core developer services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS
  • Leverage new technology paradigms such as serverless, containers, and microservices
  • Migrate monolithic applications to microservices architectures
  • Advise on implementing AWS best practices
  • Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise
  • Represent the voice for developers internally and influence our AWS Professional Services offerings and AWS product strategy for developers
Requirements
  • 5+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering experience with recent coding experience in two or more modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Swift, Python, Go, or Ruby
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Cloud development experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
