Medical Director of Allergy and Immunology

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a distinguished Medical Director of Allergy and Immunology. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care, conducting cutting-edge research, and educating the next generation of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with allergic and immunological conditions.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including skin tests, blood tests, and pulmonary function tests.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of allergic conditions, such as asthma, hay fever, food allergies, and drug allergies.
- Evaluate and treat immunodeficiencies, including primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, and autoimmune disorders related to immunology.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy, immunotherapy, and lifestyle modifications.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Engage in clinical research projects related to allergic and immunological disorders, contributing to advancements in the field.
- Publish research findings in reputable medical journals and present research outcomes at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical trials and innovative treatment approaches.
- Participate in academic activities, such as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and providing lectures and presentations.
- Board certification or eligibility in Allergy and Immunology.
- Valid medical license to practice medicine in New York State.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of allergic and immunological disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- A competitive salary of $350,000 - $400,000 per year.
