Biological Specimen Collector

At Millennium Health, we are seeking a skilled Biological Specimen Collector to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires collecting patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens, processing and packaging collections or shipping, serving as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory, and recording patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
This role plays a key part in providing exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens
- Processing and packaging collections or shipping
- Serving as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory
- Recording patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
The ideal candidate will have 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients. Alternatively, 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience. A valid driver's license is also required.
The estimated salary for this position is $17-20 per hour, dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
