Job Summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist II to join our Primary Care team in St. Cloud, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, registration, and scheduling support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers, answering phone lines in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Collect, maintain, and ensure accuracy of patient information through standard business practices.
  • Coordinate all necessary paperwork for registration, scheduling, and appointment.
  • Collect and verify patient insurance information, including authorizations and referrals.
  • Manage no-show and cancellation processes, confirming appointments with patients and guardians.
  • Prepare charts with appropriate paperwork for physician visits.
  • Triaging and managing electronic communication daily, scanning new paperwork into the EMR or placing it in patient charts.
  • Check in and check out patients in the office, coordinating the release of information and medical record process.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required, with specialized training beyond high school preferred.
  • Minimum of one to three years' experience in customer service and healthcare, with medical office or call center experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to other primary care locations as needed for coverage.
