Position Overview: The role focuses on the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of a modernized BMF platform, alongside providing ongoing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support in alignment with IRS objectives. Key responsibilities encompass project management, O&M, software development, modernization efforts, enhancements, and legislative updates.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience as a Developer/Architect with a focus on code refactoring.
  • A broad programming background.
  • Expertise in full-stack development.
  • Aptitude for learning ADDI and MAM accelerator toolsets.

In-depth programming knowledge is essential, with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles, Java syntax, libraries, frameworks, and industry best practices. The ability to convert assembly logic into contemporary constructs is crucial, including mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code utilizing loops, conditional statements, functions, and object-oriented design patterns. Exceptional problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and resolve potential challenges during the modernization process. Familiarity with additional z/OS tools is advantageous.
