Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at GE Vernova. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Grid-Forming Technology and a strong background in power system stability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced grid-forming inverter solutions for utility-scale solar and energy storage applications.
  • Conduct in-depth simulations and modeling to analyze system dynamics, power quality, and grid stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the expansion of our power grid infrastructure.
  • Research and evaluate emerging trends in grid-forming technology and power system stability.
  • Provide technical support and contribute to proposals.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the design and development of grid-forming inverters and plant controls.
  • Strong knowledge of power system fundamentals, grid dynamics, and power electronics.
  • Proficiency in power system modeling and simulation tools (PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.).
