Position Overview:
ESG Client Engagement Specialist

Team Dynamics:
Become a vital member of our innovative Client Engagement team within S&P Global's Sustainable1 (S1) division.

This position presents a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a burgeoning sector, utilizing your knowledge of ESG data solutions and the sustainability analytics market.

You will play a significant role in delivering exceptional client engagement and supporting market growth and product innovation.

Your expertise in ESG products will include Trucost's Environmental and Climate Analytics, S&P Global ESG Scores, ESG indices, among other pertinent offerings.


Key Responsibilities and Contributions:

This role requires a thorough understanding of ESG data solutions and the sustainability analytics landscape to provide high-quality, account-based engagement to clients.

You will be instrumental in enhancing our market visibility and steering future product innovations.

As a member of a prominent team, your efforts will be essential in strengthening client relationships and fostering the expansion of our services.


Client Relationship Development:
Build and nurture relationships with current clients through discussions regarding S1 datasets, client applications, and emerging sustainability trends.
Share insights on fundamental sustainability themes, client profiles, and industry-specific risks and opportunities.

Collaborative Engagement:


Partner with various teams within S1 and the broader S&P Global organization to gain insights into the complete range of S&P data and analytics offerings.


Operational Excellence:
Address client inquiries related to S1 product methodologies and complex requests.
Design and implement enhancements for internal processes concerning case management and engagement tracking.

Education and Content Development:
Promote S1 and its value proposition by participating in speaking engagements and educational initiatives.
Provide training to both internal and external teams on S1 products and services.
Contribute to the creation of client-facing materials, including sales presentations, analytics reports, and thought leadership content.
Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and advancements in sustainability data.

Product Engagement and Feedback:


Collect and communicate feedback on products and market trends to the Product Teams, and develop business cases to guide commercial strategy and product evolution.

Inform clients about product updates and enhancements.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with an emphasis on business and sustainability.
3+ years of experience in Finance or sustainability-related roles preferred.
Strong comprehension of the competitive ESG data landscape and emerging regulations.
Solid understanding of investment processes and the application of ESG data across various investment contexts.
Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Effective organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the ESG research, data, and ratings sector.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and the capability to effectively visualize data and concepts.
Genuine interest in sustainability issues.
Experience with client-oriented software such as Salesforce.
Business proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
